Please join me on the first two weekends of
October for my Annual
So I am here and will again have my annual Open House.
The Fall Art Tour from Baraboo to Spring Green to Mineral Point, WI will be October
14th through the 16th, 2011. RETIREMENT & SALE OF SHOP The time has come to stop playing in the mud. After living here for over 35 years and making thousands of pots it is time for a change. At the end of 2011 I hope to sell my home and pottery here in Spring Green and move to Middleton, Wisconsin. I grew up in Madison and am looking forward to creating an entirely different life. I would love to sell my business to a young potter just starting out. I think it would be great to have someone walk into an existing business and have the wheels, kiln, bats and shelving ready. All one needs are a few small tools to start making their own pots. If you are interested please let me know. I can be reached at 608-588-2195 or pahlgren@merr.com or peggy@wilsoncreekpottery.com. The property includes an acre of land in this beautiful valley. An older classic 4 bedroom home build by the Kramer brothers in the 1930's. A 2000 sq. foot building that was once a cheese factory acts as pottery and sales room. A three car detached garage and a small detached tool shed compete the buildings on the property. Spring Green has always been known as an area for Artists due to the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright. His Taliesin is just south of Spring Green near the Wisconsin River. American Players Theatre, an outdoor repertory theater is also south of town. House on the Rocks is one of the three most visited tourist attractions in the Midwest is also in the area. Although a small town there are many things going on in Spring Green all the time. The Chamber of Commerce is active and hosts many annual events.
